1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using buildsheet (“Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

The Service is operated by an (sole proprietorship) registered in Hungary, and these Terms are governed by Hungarian law and EU regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Description of Service

buildsheet is a visual cheatsheet builder that allows users to create, organize, and export interactive documentation. The Service includes:

  • Visual grid-based editor with drag-and-drop functionality
  • Markdown support with GitHub Flavored Markdown (GFM)
  • LaTeX/KaTeX mathematical equation rendering
  • Data visualization with multiple chart types
  • PDF and Markdown export capabilities
  • Mind map visualization of document structure
  • Auto-save functionality
  • Unlimited cheatsheet creation

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account by providing:

  • A valid email address
  • Your full name
  • A secure password meeting our requirements (minimum 8 characters, including uppercase, lowercase, number, and special character)

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Ensuring the accuracy of the information you provide

4. Payment Terms

4.1 One-Time Payment Model

buildsheet operates on a one-time payment model. You pay once for lifetime access to the Service. There are no recurring subscription fees.

4.2 Payment Processing

Payments are processed securely through Stripe, a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor. We do not store your credit card information on our servers.

4.3 Billing Address

During checkout, you will be required to provide a valid billing address for invoice generation purposes.

4.4 Invoicing

Electronic invoices are generated through Billingo, our invoice management system, in compliance with Hungarian tax regulations. Invoices are sent to your registered email address upon successful payment.

4.5 Currency

Prices are displayed in USD. The final charge will be processed in the currency selected during checkout.

4.6 Discount Codes

We may offer discount codes for promotional purposes. Discount codes are subject to specific terms and conditions, including expiration dates and usage limits.

5. Refund Policy

5.1 Satisfaction Guarantee

We offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you are not satisfied with the Service, you may request a refund within 7 days of your purchase date.

5.2 Refund Process

To request a refund:

  • Submit a refund request through your account dashboard
  • Our team will review your request (approval typically required)
  • You will receive a refund confirmation email upon approval
  • Refunds are processed through Stripe to your original payment method
  • Refunds typically appear within 5-10 business days

5.3 Refund Eligibility

Refunds are subject to the following conditions:

  • Request must be made within 7 days of purchase (configurable per product)
  • Account must not have violated these Terms
  • Full refunds may be granted at our discretion
  • Certain products may have different refund policies, which will be clearly stated at the time of purchase

6. User Conduct and Acceptable Use

When using buildsheet, you agree NOT to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other accounts
  • Transmit malware, viruses, or harmful code through the Service
  • Share or sell your account credentials or access rights without authorization
  • Copy or reverse engineer any part of the Service without permission
  • Upload infringing, defamatory, or illegal content to the Service

7. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the Service (including, but not limited to, the software, design, and trademarks) are owned by buildsheet.

Users maintain ownership of their content created using the Service. By using the Service, you grant buildsheet a license to store and process your content for the purpose of providing the Service.

8. Service Availability and Updates

While we strive to provide uninterrupted access to buildsheet, we do not guarantee continuous availability. We may:

  • Update the Service (features, design, performance)
  • Temporarily suspend access for maintenance
  • Modify or discontinue certain features with reasonable notice

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

9. Data Protection & Compliance

  • buildsheet complies with GDPR and Hungarian data protection laws.
  • User data (including payment information) is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
  • We implement security measures to protect user data, including data encryption, secure authentication, and regular backups.

10. Limitation of Liability

buildsheet is provided on an “as-is” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, buildsheet and its owners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties or damages, so these limitations may not apply to you.

11. Changes to the Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. When we revise these Terms, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page.

Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service.
